work hours and prepare to surrender yourself to temptation with the bosses and
employees of Cosmo Tower 69. What you are going to see was definitely what you

ACT 1
Virginia
Spellman was a 30 years old middle class working woman and in her age you might
expected a happily married woman with a family and children to go home too.
Sadly she had none of them and what only there for her right now were crappy
job and nagging parent that never stopped trying to find a suitable suitor for
her. She sighed as she slowly about her future. In 10 years she would be in her
40s and she won’t be happy by working as the same advertising executive at a
nearly closed company and having her non-existent fiancé that can promise her a
good life. Virginia was stunning and beautiful with her flawless complexion.
High cheekbones, brown eyes, and cute nose perched up so that every time she
worn a glasses it looked cute on her. Her caramel brown hair hung loosely over
her shoulders. Petite with a generous curvy figure, she was considered a hot
stuff among her colleague. She was looking suave today with her blue lacy tops
and white knee length pencil skirt.
“I
want to quit,” she said to her messy looking boss as she sat down.
Her
boss looked at her with disbelief, “But why did you want to quit? You want a
raise?”
Virginia
sat up straight and twitched her jaw, “I want to find a new path.”
Her
boss rested against his chair while thinking, “It will be a huge loss to our
company.”
“I
know but I need to shape up my future. You have to understand me.”
Her
boss took her resignation letter with a heavy heart. He smiled and held his
hand to her, wishing her success for her future endeavor. She shot up straight
and greeted him goodbye before she gathered her stuffs in her office. She
looked around her and started to feel sorry. She would be missing the working
lives here. She had friends and foes along the line and it helped made her
prepared for her future planning.
She
called her fiancé, Ridge Garber, “Hello dear, can you pick me up now?”
He
made a long pause before answering, “What’s going on? I thought you will finish
work at 6.”
“For
God sake can you please come and pick me up now?”
He looked at his phone ridiculously
and shook his head as he drove his blue steel Land Rover heading towards her
office in the middle of the San Francisco City. Well, they have been dating and
engaged for almost two years already but they still seemed like strangers.
Ridge was not the kind of guy that really worried on how to please his partner.
And Virginia wasn’t that much concerned about the relationship because she knew
they would get married later on. Ridge was a construction engineer, with
closely cropped salt and pepper hair and his crew cut look; he was cute if you
preferred a GI Joe look. His muscular body was always covered with faded blue
shirt and a pair of jeans. That was is common attire every time she saw him.
His amber eyes always avoiding contact with her every time they dated and it
pissed her off so much. Believe it or not, she was trying to be happy with him
and loyalty was her upmost priority.
He arrived just in time as she
reached the building entrance, “Oh my God, you’re on time.”
“What make you think I won’t come?”
he dared to question her.
Virginia raised her eyebrow, “Do I
need to remind you about all of our failed dates?”
He waved at her and pretended that
he was busy, “Okay fine, let just go.”
“You know what your problem is? Your
fucking attitude and I think I have gone beyond my limit with you, mister. If
you keep on with this I might call out our engagement.”
She got into his car and crossed her
arms against her chest. He was sulking at her right now and she didn’t want to
fall apart in front of him. Shit, he should’ve been more responsible by now.
She looked out at her window as she tried to collect her thoughts.
She reached home at 4:00 pm and she
hurried towards her room to check her computer for emails. She applied for a
few exciting job offers and was hoping that she might be selected for some
interviews. She switched on her laptop and opened her mail server checking over
hundreds of inbox emails until she came across one of the exciting job offers
which caught her attention at once. It’s from Cosmo Tower 69, one of the
biggest players in advertising and funding almost every business in the world.
Besides leading in their technologies and researches, they also had some of the
top experts working for them in terms of knowledge and infrastructure. She
known Cosmo from their impressive application of entertainment and online
network that they used to help bloggers, web editors and designers worldwide
instead of only assisting the actors, producers, directors and audiences they
also provided platform for them to interact easily.
She found out that they are calling
her for interview for the position of Conceptual Director. Oh my, she thought
as her future has finally revealing everything to her. She was going to be an
important person. From her impressive resume she knew she would make it big
soon and now was her beginning. She replied the email and waited with patience
as it went out of her mail and went straight to them. Few hours later, she received a call from the
founder of the company Cosmo 69 and quickly she spoke with a feeling of
butterfly in her stomach.
“Is this Ms Spellman from Prescott
Road?” a strong yet delicious voice asked her.
She trembled as she spoke, “Yes, it
is me speaking. Is this Cosmo 69?”
He introduced himself to her, “I’m
the boss and founder of Cosmo 69, Quincey Xavier. You can call me Mr. Xavier
for now. I want to invite you for an interview tomorrow morning around 10:00
am. Is it okay with you?”
Virginia jumped as she heard the
news, “Really, I’ll be there on time. Thank you.”
Quincey chuckled as he sensed her
excitement, “We’ll see you tomorrow. I would like to wish you the best of
luck.”
“Thank you very much. I’ll see you
there tomorrow.”
Virginia hurried downstairs to find
her parents and spilled out the happy news. Arthur and Melissa were glad their
daughter finally had found what she was looking for. So much has happened since
their daughter’s engagement with Ridge and they prayed for better things to
come on her way very soon. Virginia gathered with her parents in the kitchen
and together they were having tea time with quite a blast on that day.
Virginia blurted out to them, “I
can’t believe it! Out of all that I have applied, they called.”
Melissa smiled at her daughter, “I’m
proud of you. I know you’ll make a great employee and addition to their team.
Besides you are a very talented Conceptual Director.”
“I agreed with your mom. You make a
good choice quitting your first job,” Arthur added.
“You are the best mom and dad,
thanks. I’ll do my best for tomorrow.”
